I've been doing this for years. It always blows people's minds. Generous salt and pepper is key. Using a different type of bread for the toast bit is also a fun improvisation.

Rock and roll is no longer the rebellious mouthpiece of the youth. Increasingly kids make and listen to electronic music. Akai, Ableton, Traktor, etc. do not share this problem.

My current laptop is a toshiba, and I bought it in the US. I've had good luck with the brand over the years.

The pixel is in fact a beast. I almost bought one, but was worried about the tiny ssd. Do you find space limiting at all? VS Code has been stellar for JS and Go. The ruby experience has been pretty meh. Definitely depends on language/c

I removed the write protection screw, upgraded my ssd, flashed on a new bios from https://mrchromebox.tech/ , and installed galliumOS--originally I used chrubuntu, then straight ubunutu. Everything works great. Even installe

I use flow with vs code. With the extension, it will highlight type errors and provide intellisense. I'd try a to-do app with the flow extension on vs code. Or take an existing project and incrementally add types.

I've been developing on a chrome book for the past year. I can confirm that vs code runs very smooth, while atom is finicky and just flat out dies on opening large folders/files.

On the Lenovo site. I found a coupon for 30% just googling around. Unfortunately, I believe it ended 10/30. However, Lenovo often has sales/promotions, esp around the holidays. So I'm sure there will be more sales soon. Anoth

Just bough a 14 inch thinkpad t460p with 32gb of ram for $980. The form factor isn't quite as sexy, but the specs compare favorably to the macbook pro, and the price difference is pretty absurd. It's entirely upgradable to boot.

Is the ram or SSD soldered or upgradable? This is increasingly one of my main concerns when looking at new laptops.

This sounds like a defense of AP classes and not calculus in particular. Mind you there are also other AP math courses, notably statistics.

Totally unsolicited, but relevant anecdote. I develop full time on a chromebook running gallium os--although I used Ubuntu for a good 9 months. Only perceivable differences is gallium has way less bloat and support for chrome keyboards. A d

> DC Metro may be grand, but it's just not smart. As a subway system, no not smart, but (if the rumors are true) the stops were also designed to serve as fallout shelters. In that regard, perhaps it is smartly designed.

Capitol Hill is the absolute trendiest part of town. A lot of people live on the north or west sides of town. Some friends of mine split a house for $500 a piece about a single 30-45 minute bus ride from their office downtown.
