Extroverts tend to expect directions from the perspective of the skull. Introverts tend to expect their own perspective for directions. It's a psychology thing, not an error.

Last I checked, the only way to run a 16 bit game from my childhood is on Linux. Very easy. Odd to congratulate Microsoft on backwards compatibility when they are not doing better than Linux.

I'm adding an overly elaborate item and levelling up system to the adventure mode of my chess variant AI sandbox: www.chesscraft.ca Items have a prefix and suffix system similar to Diablo 2 so I'm having nostalgic fun building it.

They also translate video titles which cannot even be turned off. Very annoying, low quality, and confusing.

Give it time. We'll soon have kids growing up where their best friend for years is an AI. Feel however you like about that, but those kids will have very different opinions on this.

"but nobody seems worried of that implication that" Clearly millions of people are worried about that, and every form of media is talking about it. Your hyperbole means it's so easy to dismiss everything else you wrote. Incre

You've implied the answer to your own question. The USA is not a democracy. The opinions of almost all Americans have no impact on policy. It's a well researched fact. Having an election day where people vote doesn't mean you

ChatGPT 3 was the first AI that could do 100,000 different things poorly. Before that we only had AIs that could do a few things decently, or very well. So yeah, I'm sticking with "baby AGI" because of the "G".

Why don't you think people realize that? I must have heard this basic talking point a hundred times.

Not bad. Maybe. But maybe that's ASI. Whereas I consider chatgpt 3 to be "baby AGI". That's why it became so popular so fast.

I run Linux and test my Windows releases on a VM. It works great. Sure, I'm not doing performance benchmarking and it's just smoke tests and basic user stories, but that's all that 98% of indie developers do for cross platfor

Maybe. Tho I would expect the devops practices and automation effectiveness of github internal projects to be far above your average shop.

Well the code base is surely orders of magnitude smaller (there are several legacy ui systems, network systems, etc in unity) which means far fewer security problems. And while we can debate the advantages of open source, in my opinion the

I've had to explain this to several people: YC goals are not our goals. For YC, it would be great for lots of people to burn down their lives for even the slimmest chance at success.

And here I was thinking that rejecting a MR and calling it "AI slop" may sometimes be too harsh. Your scheme is diabolical. I love it.

I think you're missing the point. If I give a fun extreme example it doesn't mean there's no subtle problem. Where do you draw the line? Maybe I guessed 40 but it would really be 80. Maybe they send in 400 lines. 200? Also 10

Indeed. I think I'll add a note that PR is GitHub. Not only do I use GitLab more often in my org, but I genuinely think the term itself is more precise. I can be a bit of a stickler for vocabulary.

Based on personal use there's no way 2025 capabilities would do a good job of that task. I hope to get automated CR bots in my org working soon but today, it should definitely only be brief feedback that people can choose to ignore.

I got a MR the other day that should be 40 lines of code but it was 1000. It "mostly" worked. Do I pick apart this slop? Why should I? It's bad for the team and for the project. It's hard to respond to that. I'm gen

Always fine to ask that question anywhere, in my opinion! Good to note: contributing to code projects also occurs in closed source, big orgs. The same tools are used. My cases for example are from government and our projects usually aren&#x
