Making processors is hard. Hacking them is even harder. Mad respect to both sides. Hope this is something that can easily be fixed without a huge performance penalty.

Love his technical dives into Virtualization.frameworks inner workings. How macOS abstracts virtualization is fascinating, a lot more ingestible than hypervisor.framework. Only gripe is I wish it gave more NAT control on the level of Parall

Forgot this was Hacker News for a second. Hardwares doing its job; locking unauthenticated users out of it. Unfortunately, this is a consequence of not understanding how to use it and you not using it. I wish Apple was more informative abou

Article does a lot of complaining about a trivial task. I don’t mind the extra privacy measures. Beats Windows hellscape of isolation and protection.

These profiles are provided by Apple for the explicit use of debugging... what makes you think bad faith actors wouldn't take advantage of harvesting such juicy data? Especially at the verbose rate macOS provides...

Love OrbStack... been using it since I discovered it and instantly took over my Docker workflow. What are your plans for Virtual Machines? I know GUI support is planned but are you planning for Virtualization features to challenge the likes

They are a lot of work. And expensive to maintain. You’re not getting just 10 years of support from Red Hat, but 10 years of kernel support as well.
