Cool execution of an idea - congrats on launching! This could get share traction if users were able to submit a message and make it public. My friends/coworkers had a phase where we did that with this tool: https://headlines

My team has had this issue in hiring. Much of it is due to bootcamps telling students they will make massive salaries after a 6-month course. That has attracted a different crowd of applicants. We are always open to junior engineers, but la

Pure passion for software. I remember going to Barnes & Noble when I was 10 years old. I saw a " Teach Yourself PHP 4 in 24 hours " book. I didn't know what PHP was, but the book cover said I could make dynamic websites,

I'm from the US, and I've never worked for a company that regulated a limit. You only had to check with HR first & ensure you weren't negatively impacting your projects. Sounds to me like your company got burned by someon

LOVE this feedback, thank you so much. This is extremely helpful. I've jotted down some tasks as a result of this. And I'll say to point #4 - if I have to rebrand, it will be the second time. (And as a result, won't be too ha

Fees: great point. I have "capped fees" logged as a future feature, but haven't gotten to it yet since it's an edge case. Contact me if you'd like to talk more about your product, I'd be thrilled to work toget

Definitely! You're right, the homepage doesn't explain as well as it should. All use cases boil down to two scenarios: 1. Creators want to sell a digital thing, but don't want to give up 30% to 50% in fees. Digital things cou

Excellent feedback, and very true.. new user onboarding isn't as good as it should be. It's for non-technical users too, and I'll need to find a way to communicate to them as well. Oof, being a one-man show is taxing. Thanks

Hey thanks for that feedback! The current setup is focused on creators, not customers. Something like ThemeForest is customer-focused, while this is more similar to Gumroad, which is more creator-focused. (Gumroad does have its "Discov

I apologize my wording made it appear I was abusing drugs, I don't condone that. In fact I'm the opposite: I microdosed Adderall. 5mg a day for the longest time, then bumped up to 10mg. My doctors over the years pushed me to take

If anyone here reading this needs the motivation or gentle reminder: you might not need Adderall anymore. I've used it to get ahead in software for the past ~8 years. I recently gave it up, but it was hard to realize that it was time.

It's a fine line, isn't it? Ha! You're correct of course. To anyone with fear of being creepy: my good friend shared a video with me recently on vulnerability. It forced me to rewire my brain: https://www.ted.com&#

I can see how one may think that! I see charm as a way to make connections with others (which is awesome!). It's also crazy fun to inflect your voice. Everyone has a better time when you're okay being silly. Would you treat a ne

One tip mentioned is to raise your eyebrows. As example: when you first meet someone, raise your eyebrows slightly (or one), smile, and tilt your head and greet them. Making someone else feel special makes you charming. Along the same lines

I'm not sure what Storify is/was. I attempted to find out by clicking the "About" link in their footer, and got redirected to Adobe. Looks like maybe they got a buyout!

Looking great for a first release! The demo is smooth, well done. Seems like there's a good framework in place to catch up to the competition. I'd switch away from TinyMCE or Summernote if there was a component/widget system

You are correct! The implementation is strange, however. I'm not able to directly override any of the nginx settings already set. As there is no route overriding in nginx, this makes things real tough in trying to allow/deny acces

This makes me slightly worried. I'm fine with paying for a service like Gitlab's hosted instance (and will start paying for it), it's a pretty good service. The UI isn't amazing but the tools are better IMO than GitHub&#
