My 4yo and 2yo girls are also enthralled with diggers. I think there's just something about big equipment that's impressive. This is a really good book on the subject :) was both their favorite for quite a long time: https:/

Right. The backup function will require the house be set up with a transfer switch and the appropriate inlet setup, just like a whole house generator. The interesting bit is just the fact that the truck has a 240v split phase inverter built

The language on the site talks about requiring a whole house manual or automatic transfer switch. Plus the thing has a 240v outlet. (presumably split phase, 240v single phase is not common in US residential settings). I wonder if the wirin

Yep. 79 vs 176 episodes. Much more complicated effects. Smaller fan base. There's no way it would be financially viable.

Iirc this is why there will never be an HD version of Star Trek DS9. They filmed on actual film for much of it but the masters of the special effects are all on video tape.

Homelab is a wide hobby. Some people assemble their lab to learn how things work as a way to skill up for work. Some people assemble a small lab (sometimes just a single box with a bunch of VMs) to run home automation or media applications.

We picked up a PHEV Pacifica minivan earlier this year and I love it for all the same reasons. I can do all of the around town errands on electric and at the same time when we take longer trips it's perfectly happy running on gas for a

That wouldn't work for US employees. Any benefits other than very specific allowed categories are taxable income. The wellness benefit, CSA share, etc are already taxable.

The comments here are incredibly harsh. As someone who has self published two books, quite a lot of this resonates with me. First book addressed a timely topic but ultimately aged out very quickly and I got burnt out trying to keep up with

This is also useful if you want to pass dedicated network interfaces through to specific guests. For example, I am planning to run a router on top of proxmox and pass through several dedicated NICs specifically for routing purposes.

Scores are an input into the decision on what rate you pay and probably an input into underwriting, but they're not the sole input. Car loans, though, I think are almost entire driven by scores.
