I would not recommend this for beginners at all. Not going down on Meteor but a traditional MVC framework gives beginners a much more broad understanding of web technologies that they can use with any language and most frameworks.

I'm pretty sure an app like Paper is possible using web technologies (if you only support the latest browsers). I don't even see why they bring Paper as an example since I think the app is pretty shit UX wise.

It's amazing how many projects you have made in year. How much time do you put into your side projects?

I don't know much about compilers and runtimes but how come there are SO MANY of them for Python. Is there something about Python that makes it so easy to write runtimes for it?

I think the use case of this author is very trivial. I don't see how I could use npm for a much more complicated build process with different targets (live, staging, local) or piping (coffee -> js -> min.js etc).

Wow this is very interesting. I have been following Wit's progress since I am quite a geek for all kinds of automation and AI stuff. Would it be possible to port this into JavaScript using ClojureScript and use it on the client side?

Most users use it for adding push capabilities to their existing software. Eg you have a web app that uses a REST backend but you want updates to be forced into the browser instead of refreshing the page. There are also those who use it for
