The problem with plastics is that they encompass such huge range of materials that you can't really make any reasonable generalizations for them. The most you can say is that they are mostly hydrocarbon based, which is almost completel

One of those things that to me is frustrating is how there is no clear unambiguous definition of what is correct in font rendering. Presumably typeface designers have some specific intent on how heavy strokes and stems are, but then that so

That Zimmermann paper is far more useful than the article. Notably LLVM libm is correctly rounded for most single precision ops. Notable omission are crlibm/rlibm/core-math etc libs which claim to be more correct, but I suppose we

Well, I think it is fair to say that regexes alone do not provide any facilities for editing. You have groups, but you have to use some other language (like sed) to compose those groups.

It is still bit odd considering tha in the actual benchmarks the preliminary version is significantly faster than the old one. So there seems to be fairly large discrepancy between the cycles estimation and actual runtime

kinda surprising that it still makes sense to develop your own new build system, and then do the migration to it, instead of adopting an off-the-shelf one like buck2 (or bazel/etc...). Not saying that these fancy build tools are easy t

There is DM42 hardware[1] and the DB48X/C47 firmwares for it. I feel that they are very much pushing the boundary on what makes sense on a formfactor like that. For something more powerful, you'd probably want something more in th
