I don't think interfaces like ASGI/WSGI etc are that similar to FastCGI. The crucial difference is that FastCGI is a protocol, something you need to do IO for and crucially something you need to parse. In contrast ASGI etc by virt

In what sense do you mean support? buck2 is afaik completely language agnostic, you can use it to drive any compilers/tools you want?

I find the dismissal of buck2 pretty shallow. Most of the world is not already heavily invested to bazel, so compatibility is imho overstated; I don't see it being that far-fetched for something like buck2 to leapfrog bazel. That being

Sure, chroot can be useful in a pinch, but it would not be the first thing I'd reach to. If you got the partitions mounted, you can already do quite a lot of things without needing to chroot.

Personally I'm really tired of all these language specific package managers. I just don't feel that is the right direction, stuff like nix seem like much better approach.

Python startup times suck though. On my system `python3 -c 'print("hello world")'` takes 60-70ms. In contrast equivalents with bash or lua both are in 1-2ms range. The difference is definitely noticeable.

I'm confused, can't you accomplish the same effect with simple gradient (+ offset)?

Can't you just throw such frames into additional IFDs or SubIFDs?

Personally I think beyond T450 generation, i.e. over 10 years old systems, you are starting to make pretty severe compromises. T440 generation had really bad Trackpoint setup, and older hardware starts to lose features. Random stuff that T4

Identity verification is not that far fetched these days. For europeans you got eIDAS and related tech, some other places have similar stuff, for rest of world you can do video based id checks. There are plenty of providers that handle this

It's bit curious that traditionally UNIX systems did not run local DNS resolver daemons and instead the resolv.conf (and nsswitch.conf) persisted for so long. In addition to potentially simplifying configuration, having a daemon would
