I think the meaning of the sentence you're replying to is that GitHub's features are a superset of Git's features which seems true? "Github isn't all git [some features of GitHub are not in Git], but all git is Gith

What do you mean by people trying random things? I think that approach (if I understand the term correctly) is more or less what debugging is as a form of scientific investigation. If you observe a car mechanic trying to find the problem wi

I think the person you're replying to tried to address that point that classes are primarily a way to organise code when other possibly equally good or better options exist like modules. An F# module might (for example) look like below

I just want to point out that this following line could come across as condescending, even if not intended that way. > Now, if you are a beginner like you seem to be, then it's a good code. You don't know anything about the per

I think your comment comes after reading this line: > - targeted users(s) following “foo” on X app It seems "X app" means just any placeholder app (not the new Twitter rebrand), although I might be wrong.

I don't think I agree that impressive scientific advancement on this level had been unseen for 1700 years. There were many impressive insights the Greeks had learned (just how the Pythagoreans had gleamed the relationship between numbe

Why is @darig's reply dead? It looks reasonable and interesting to me (although they could have perhaps made it clearer that it ties into this topic because of developing a programming language that does what the title asks).

That order makes sense as well and it has the advantage that you will often see how the leaf functions fit into the overall picture if you see how other functions depend on them. I just prefer some linear order over the alternatives.

The ML (metalanguage) family of languages like Standard ML, F# and OCaml intentionally enforce a one-way-flow where a function at the top cannot call anything below it (although there are ways to get around it). I like this approach to orga
