If they were given the ability to properly and violently stop these shenanigans (violent store and street mobs/takeovers), you bet that the next week there'd be more BLM looting sprees. This is nothing but bullies pushing their wa

Many if not all are like that. It's like everyone wants to take advantage of the lack of perfect information in the marketplace, as opposed to actually being helpful for consumers.

Something went wonky with ads in general and it may just be a coincidence that the internet happened at an overlapping time. I fondly remember memorable, interesting and funny ads. It's like shittification happened on the quality of ad

One suggestion/theory I'd like to posit about this. There may be a third factor, and that is our "awareness" of what's in our mouth. After I eat food, I can't stand for any food that is lingering or stuck anywh

I've been to and grown up in a bunch of those African cities. As long as you don't go to dodgy areas you're perfectly fine, even dirt-poor areas are fine. Sure your houses are little mini fortifications and security is everyw

I know everyone here mostly knows this, but in LCoL areas (South Africa for me specifically), that $20K almost buys you an entire house that you can live in in near-perpetuity. Not only that, but I could hire low-skilled labor for 7200 hour

Chrome is embedded in Android way more than people realize. It's at a level of what IE was with windows, probably way worse too depending on how you look at it.

Maybe - but we all forget how google was the one that "pushed" javascript heavily, even if indirectly. At least that's how I remember it so many years later. So, convenient that they pushed something that half the web and bro

I agree, it's a tough decision and very few options. Me and my wife have been keeping an eye on it as we need a fallback if South Africa ever has a meltdown.

That's not unusual at all, and calling it "negative gearing" is just a way to target it as if it's some evil concept. Afaik, everywhere in the world taxes on businesses are applied to profits not revenue. Subtracting you

The positive way out of this is to slowly pull back regulations, one tiny bit at a time. Slowly enough so we can be comfortable and if it causes any bad effects we can correct in time. This should allow tensions to ease off and for everyone

I'm also very confused about the pricing. Its "open-source" but with SSO user-limits? Paid version comes with Prometheus metrics, so does that mean the open-source free tier doesn't? So many questions.
