I wonder if you could use check-point and restore in userspace ( https://criu.org/Main_Page ) so that after the game boots and passes the checks on a valid system you can move it to an "invalid" system (where you ha

I had wildly varying experiences with companies i found on lowendbox.com Some were fine, some offered a very good yearly plan but vanished after three weeks. So yeah… people should keep that in mind.

I love this. The main components of my home infra is a smart-managed ethernet switch (Zyxel GS1900E) and an HP Microserver Gen8. I also have some thinkcentre tinys. I'm really interested in the server cabinet, if I can fit my ethernet

I'd LOVE to read more about these memories. If you're willing to write down somewhere those memories from that time I'd be happy to read them. Also, it would be nice if you'd complement that with describing how the world

If you think about economic value, you’re comparing a few large-impact projects (and the impact of plan9 is debatable) versus a multitude of useful but low impact projects (edit: low impact because their scope is often local to some company

If you have some software that’s somewhat rigid you could make it scriptable by linking microquickjs. For example, lately i was looking into patching dnsmasq to handle events but found out that the dhcp-script flag most likely does what i n

You could get 128gb ram laptops from the time ddr4 came around: workstation class laptops with 4 ram slots would happily take 128gb of memory. The fact that nowadays there are little to no laptops with 4 ran slots is entirely artificial.
