Hey Nirav, thanks so much for the progress you and your team have done! Just had a question if there's been some benchmarking done for Linux on the new AMD and Intel mainboards.

Sort of feel bad for the ethics teams that get let go. When it comes to ethics or money, the corpos will always choose the money over the former.

Not sure if you are mentioning Arch because of the meme or not, but it is funny how Arch users do love mentioning the fact they use Arch lol

I've been wondering the same thing. Could it be the FAA really dropping the ball or the airlines are struggling to manage?

This is really interesting tech but I wonder how they are going to monetize this. Will it be traditional ads shown as results or would they be incorporated into the AI bots text? Like the "5-day trip to Mexico" prompt with the ret

Based on the name of the bill it seems it's supposed to target "unproductive" workers.

I'm very interested in this too. Is there information on their website that specifies which Sony televisions allow this?

Kudos to the team. Looks great from the preview. I hope there is an iOS version in the works. I would love to use this on my iPhone instead of the default mail app.

I wonder if this merge will improve the odd fractional scaling issues I've been having with my framework laptop. Blurry text and windows for electron apps really sours the experience of using the wayland with the laptops resolution.

Two different licenses. They've had an issue with GPLv3 since it started to be the default license of most GNU coreutils and their other programs. That's why Bash was never updated for so long.

All these hacks blog posts are really interesting insights by Firefox engineers. Browsers in general are such a complicated system, so it's pretty remarkable what they come up with and what they learn when attempting to update Firefox.

I'm happy to see this! Hopefully Nvidia starts open sourcing a lot more stuff.

I think it's genuine since this product seems tailor made for the hackernews demographic.

Thanks for the update on that! Do you have any numbers at the improvement we will likely see with this firmware release Nirav?

I think the Linux community's reflexive hatred of anything Canonical does is a major turn off. Unity wasn't bad, and judging by how much Wayland has struggled I am curious what would have happened if Mir was still around.

I honestly hope not. I like the fact that other distros are trying things themselves. If you don't like it, just switch to a different one. Whats the point of different distros if they all do the same thing?

Europe has taken in a lot of refugees from Syria, especially for a conflict much much further away than Ukraine. This conflict is also in Europe's backyard stemming from a power they have been diametrically opposed to since WW2. Of cou
