Also, wireless makes it impossible to have a USB hub on the keyboard, which is nice to free up clutter on the desk. Otherwise I'd need an extra hub.

For that you would need to convert the recipes into some format, that is easy to query, like https://schema.org/Recipe or http://www.formatdata.com/recipeml/ At least the JSON conversion would be nice

The most thorough format I know of (and which is the one I use) is http://www.formatdata.com/recipeml/ Though, this here is much easier to edit. May need to create a converter ;-)
