Could this mean Google will offer a file storage and CDN like AWS? What benefit could Akamai provide to Google besides more infrastructure? I'm sure Google could enhance their infrastructure without paying a premium.

I've been using MacVim on a daily basis lately and I don't get why everyone is so excited about Sublime Text 2. Does it have git integration, VCS integration, autocomplete, good plugin management, etc? Or is it just a better Textmate?

I found the detail on this face: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2660638&... to be really good. If you go to later posts you can see how the painting evolves.

It may have largely surpassed GCC in terms of how easy it is to integrate and compilation speed, but in quality of generated code it is lagging.

I'm sorry, I was not aware of the 'rehash' function, I thought rbenv would have to ship with all the required shims. The rehash functionality is quite clever and cool. Is there an easy way to have that automatically execute after I do any i

Doesn't this solution not scale? Doesn't this mean a shim must be created for every gem that I install that has a binary? Or is this only required for "core" binaries?

Sadly, many people don't. Try bringing up the idea of writing a large program in Ruby or Python and they'll balk at you saying that the languages are too slow. They will insist on using C++ or Java.
