I've taken a massive liking to JSON5[1] recently for configs, but I've never really seen anyone else using it. Sucks, because I think it's really easy to read and write. [1] https://json5.org/

Slightly off topic but I signed up for Algolia to try it out a month or so ago and it's done nothing but spam my inbox daily with so many things. I tried clicking the unsubscribe link in the email and it just takes me to a blank page.

Why are all the graphs on your main page[0] fake? They're all the same size despite the data being different. [0]: https://buildjet.com/for-github-actions

You can use `ts-node` to copy paste directly into an interpreter. (`npm/pnpm install -g ts-node`)

Genuine question: what's up with it? Typed Javascript for me personally has been a godsend for maintenance and avoiding stupid bugs.

Yeah - no longer assuming good intentions is a weird thing to change. I guess it makes it easier to claim bad intentions?

Not a fan of the "you should educate yourself" retort whenever people ask for definitions. It happens in that Github thread over what a "protected class" entails.

It's a superset of JSON, so it should natively support true and false identifiers.

Personally, I'd go as far to say that `alignment` is an anti-pattern. Setting up an automatic formatter and using tabs is personally the best for all worlds. Space-like alignments like var someReallyLongVar = 5; var x

I have nothing against them as a person - I don't know them at all. However, the ANSI colours one is blatant package-downloads optimisation. Infact, the READMEs were clearly copied and pasted, > The color reset, in ansi. [1] > Th

I don't really think the idea is copied at all. The idea of formatting code is fairly common. I just think they should stop using deceptive advertising.

The JS Open Source Community is filled with people grifting things like this. Quite notably, there's a linter called JS Standard Style, which actually has nothing to do with JS Standards. It's marketed as if it was a standard, the

For what it's worth, this is also all the work of one person who spammed NPM with micropackages to boost his download counts. This meme attacking `npm` for nonsense like `is-odd` is quite literally the result of one person resume boost

Because that loop doesn't do what you think it does? for...in iterates over the keys of an object, but for in in vue iterates over the elements of an array.
