You could (and can) get high-quality games for a low price It seems to me that if people were willing to spend more money on quality titles this trend wouldn't exist. High quality AND low price? Seems unsustainable to me.

I know that some people can do this and good on them for doing it, but not everyone will be in the position to do it.

Profit is the only metric. Profit is not the only metric. Market share is a valid metric to compare products (as long as you have a sustainable position). If android was selling five times as many units as apple, but with only 15% the mar

Was the company valueless when it was sold? How much did it sell for? Were the proceeds distributed fairly?

I don't know the full situation, but if each of those who were laid off owned part of the company it seems a little unfair for the majority shareholder to be able to sell the company to himself, leaving everyone else with nothing. What shou

Yes, the best solution would be cure the disease, but the nursing home staff are not going to be the ones working on a cure. They have a different set of responsibilities than the noble goal of finding a cure for Alzheimer's.

Looking after someone with dementia is a full time job which is very emotionally draining and people can live many years with dementia. A lot of people could not afford to look after their loved ones, economically or mentally. I imagine you

It is interesting tech and to be sure, but when the target market is "people too cool to be seen wearing helmets" it loses some of the punch for me. I'd be much more interested if the system was a fully body airbag that provides additional

I have already requested that Quora delete my account via email (which they did). I might not represent the majority, I am not sure. But I think that it is wrong to say that users will not punish them. People are becoming more jaded with ea

Whilst it is dangerous to guess at what people were meaning, I understood the 'disclaimer" to mean "I do this for a living so I know what I am talking about". So, if that is the correct interpretation then is not a disclaimer, more a disclo

I remember seeing a study investigating the proportion of active accounts, vs. the number of dormant accounts. I think the study found that only about 20% of accounts were active. I can only imagine that the ratio of real accounts to automa

Why are we Australians getting ripped off again. 200USD < 200AUD, so why are we getting charged $250AUD?. It's not because of shipping because that is added separately. Even if it was $50 is way too much.

Doesn't that still leave the door open to database compromise? Well, if you have it in the same DB table you are still at the mercy of database compromise. Better would be to store the salts in a separate table from your password hashes.

But still a good point: Why limit your password length? My online banking is the worst offender that I know. Not only do they insist that the password is no longer than 8 characters, it HAS to be 8 characters. Madness!
