Depends on what is in that index. If it's full of noise and spam then its results won't be very useful. Garbage in - garbage out.

You can store the whole wikipedia on a single SD card these days. Storage space is not a problem.

by zirgs 3y ago
The problem is that it's no longer possible to find it. Lots of early internet history is lost or hard to find - despite the fact that storage space is not an issue these days.

OK, but it doesn't work in situations where you don't want others to hear what you type. And in places with lots of noise.

As I understand - Pinyin is still the most popular one. It also is compatible with all standard Latin keyboards and doesn't require touchscreens or microphones. So pretty much all educated Chinese people are familiar with the Latin alp

Speech to text is very impractical and error-prone.

So much for - "Internet doesn't forget". It does. A lot of stuff has been lost.

Every country has their own interests. The USA is not perfect, but there isn't anyone else out there. Beggars can't be choosers. Especially after European NATO members underinvested in defence for decades and refused to see Russia

Yup - there's no "multi". You either live in a country that's aligned with the USA. Or you live in some sort of authoritarian hellhole. There's no democratic and prosperous country that isn't aligned with the U

Where's the second democratic pole? If the only alternative to living in an US aligned country is moving to an authoritarian hellhole - then... no thanks...

Copyright terms were a lot shorter in the past. 70 years after death is absolutely unreasonable. Also crap like DRM prevents works from going into public domain.

In my country it's not forbidden to have kids, but our population has been falling for 33 years in a row. The maternity hospital that I was born at was closed recently, because of falling birth rates.

As I said - it depends on the developer. Integrating Steam DRM is completely optional. Here's a list of some of those games: https://steam.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_DRM-free_games For those games Steam acts as a dow
