I never got why HN are angry at NSA since they spy on Americans. Spying on me (non-American) is okay, but spying on an American is wrong? I feel just as violated as any American by the thought of NSA spying me.

I wouldn't give my bank credentials fora 3rd party app. Even if you forgo trust, what happens when something goes wrong and the bank doesn't take responsibility for the 3rd party app?

The GC has been drastically improved recently and going to get another improvement in the next release - Go 1.6. Either way, if Python was considered, Go isn't less fit to be considered.

This article looks to me like a list of personal preferences presented as facts. There's much more depth to language design than what the author presents - a checklist of must-have features that are "obviously better".

I agree. Reading the title, I thought scrape would offer something beyond HTML manipulation. The way that it is now, goquery provides easier and more familiar HTML manipulation.

Look at lowendbox.com and say that hosting Go is inconvenient again. Heroku and GAE are supporting Go too.
