The article isn’t fully accurate. For example old growth is not more knot free. That depended on a lot of factors. Maybe the wood used for windows was more knot free but that is a different matter entirely. Here is a counterpoint article:

The average speed driving in Manhattan is something like 7mph. There is not enough space for cars. Congestion charge is such a no-brainer easy solution here.
