Same. I used to pirate software but even way back I kept it limited to very popular software and established downloads (where if they were malware they were almost certain to be in a signature database by that point). And I absolutely never

But even of you do see the use, why not proof of stake rather than proof of work?

Oh ok I misunderstood. I'm in full agreement then, and that flips back to being fully on Microsoft.

Losing dynamic PGO by using AOT compilation could be a detriment to performance in long-running applications, right?

It's so unhelpful for people to get mad at made up crap. It completely weakens the impact of the pushback. Like if someone is in a position where people are getting mad over all sorts of made up stuff anyway, what's even the point

Really? At my workplace if we had a vendor email us about needing to take some action to continue being able to work with them, but we didn't follow through with that, any business disruption would be squarely on us for not handling it

I suspect as much too. If there's a failure to match the noise perfectly then the headphones are just going be be blasting a loud sound into your ears. And if it matches the frequency correctly but lines up with the sound instead of be

Those agents did such a wonderful job making and deploying this page that the testimonials are unreadable because each spot has two of them overlapping.

For the stuff I've worked on, if you want to know about bugfixes and emergency releases, you'd go to Jira where those values are formalized as fields. Someone else in the comments here had a suggestion which just looks for the wor

That was my question too. I have plenty of projects I've worked on where they rarely get touched anymore. They don't need new features and nothing is broken.

The corporate subscription for ChatGPT says the same thing. And I would be shocked if it wasn't the same for a corporate agreement for Claude.

I did and I still didn't see any numbers. Just a bunch of AI generated text about why it's supposedly fast. It even says it records numbers multiple times, so why aren't there any presented?

I used to try to combine everything, but now I don't. Separate appliances isolates issues to a subset of services. If everything is on a single PC and that one dies or even just needs a reboot, everything goes down.

Dedicated appliances are the way to go for the most important parts of your setup. I've always had my router as an appliance because I don't like the idea of my network failing due to something going wrong with the server that run

Incredibly, one of the responses you got already is exactly one of those replies that says nothing. There's a whole bunch of words that don't actually answer the question.

They don't even have to think of a way around any of it. They just need to search online to find someone who has found a way around it. Or prompt AI to come up with a solution. And even if someone is so dull that they don't think

That was my experience as well. I did best in the classes where I didn't have a laptop out. I had no temptations to be distracted and simply writing down the notes by hand was a huge benefit. I suspect the people I see saying they were

My excitement for Zig dropped the longer they stayed at 0.x (and they really have meant 0.x with the breaking changes they were making). This decision from them completely killed it for me. I understood not using the C Runtime and instead c

Those being in the list doesn't mean that's what they're looking for. Take a look at the database of extensions, there's far more extensions that don't seem limited to any particular group. The author just called th

Wow JetBrains Mono to me is the furthest thing possible from Iosevka. I use PragmataPro (which Iosevka is extremely similar to) and I hate JetBrains Mono for feeling so large compared to the compact characters I'm used to.

There are some people who would exclude all of those an enhancements because they don't care about them (yes, even Unicode, I've seen some people on here argue against supporting anything other than ASCII)
