When you're looking at a demo, the results just have to look good enough for the demo to be impressive. When you're actually using it, the results actually need to be good .

I learned within the past year that Uber sucks for drivers around NYC. The T&LC rules mean that someone who's not registered can't take pickups in NYC. They can still drop you off though, so Uber considers it valid to assign

Surely there's some point where it ceases being a tool though. We can't both be making AIs out to be comparable to humans while simultaneously calling them tools. Otherwise people who commission art would be considered artists usi

I have a Framework 16 and an 16" M1 MacBook Pro. The Framework 16 has just been a toy to mess around with on the side for me because the MacBook Pro is just so much better: - The difference in battery life between the two is ridiculous

It's still true that there's no Applebot-Extended if it isn't crawling pages. Rather it's a marker to ask Applebot to limit what it does with your pages.

But it also says that Applebot-Extended doesn't crawl webpages and instead this marker is only used to determine what can be done with the pages that were visited by Applebot. Not that I like an opt-out system, but based on the wording

I was surprised that bytes were a lesser known type in Python, but now that I think about what you're saying I guess it's true. The bytes type doesn't get surfaced if you're only working with higher level libraries that

Kinda minor thing, but the generated HTML isn't technically valid. The meta and style tags are supposed be inside the head tag (as supported by the MDN docs on the tags and the errors shown when you view source in Firefox).

Bartender did need screen recording permissions for certain features to work under the more locked down security model in macOS 11+. That happened well before Bartender was sold.

This is why I like having things split up. Even with zero service redundancy, it massively improves the reliability of the system overall. Often users don't even notice that a less important service had to restart because of an issue.
