It has been obvious to me for a long time that the people using the term woke now don't even have a concrete definition of the term, but I was still blown away by the sheer stupidity and obliviousness of one of those right wing people

Also, how do you mask your identity if you self-host? I can have as many mailboxes as I want but they're all trivial to correlate because they share a domain that isn't providing email accounts to large amounts of users. And then

Yes! The edges of my large, flat monitor feel like they are curved outwards. It's certainly not a huge deal, but next time I get a monitor this large I'll be going with curved to counteract that effect.

That was a concern when I had an ultrawide monitor. Fortunately I remote into work and the screen share happens on that remote side. So whenever I had to screen share, I would take Citrix Viewer out of full screen and size the window to my

I have a 32 inch flat display and I actually do think it would have been better with a bit of a curve. It would help keep the distance of all points of the screen from me more consistent. If I sat another couple feet back from the display,

I was thinking some sort of classification as a charity, but getting paid as a consultant is probably a more realistic way of making it work since it can be done without any changes to the laws regarding charities.

I love debuggers but yeah conditional breakpoints are pretty bad. I tend to need to conditionally break when the same code is being called repeatedly with different inputs where only one of them causes the problem. The conditional breakpoin

That's what I do. But heck, that's what I've always done. In the 90 and 00s I would have the TV on while I was messing around on the PC, playing my Game Boy, or heck even while doing homework.

Then don't get the Air?? The iPhone 17 is normal phone thickness. Or you can go for the iPhone 17 Pro which is extra thick and which Apple specifically called out as having their largest battery in an iPhone ever.

Is it really that incorrect? Flash memory is persistent storage. Memory cards used to be how game saves were stored on consoles. The M in ROM stands for memory. So it seems like we're using the term memory too narrowly, rather than the

Gemini also loves to say how much it deeply regrets its mistakes. In Cursor I pointed out that it needed to change something and I proceeded to watch every single paragraph in the chain of thought start with regrets and apologies.
