Your thoughts seem similar to mine. Going overboard with the colors just turns it all into visual noise. But cutting down as far as they have removes useful colors. I've always thought the default Visual Studio color scheme was a nice

I think the problem I had with the left-half controller layout is that it still used A and B but they were hard to press. Same problem with holding 2 controllers in the center. The N64 controller definitely was not the greatest design for s

Forgive me sounding like Claude, but you’re absolutely right! I’ve played platformers from that era recently but it’s been a long time since I touched the shooters. I was mixing them up in my recollection. The shooters had a weird mix and f

Some people get very emotional about the games that they play and will pay to have them DDoSed because of something or someone they're angry about. Others just love to cause chaos and will happily buy a DDoS attack to screw other peopl

That's really strange because that setup was effectively the default for N64 games. Stick under your left thumb for movement and the C buttons under your right thumb for camera control

What was remapped for PC? I don't have a PS5 so PC is how I played R&C:RA and I don't recall there being any difference in how the trigger pulls were interpreted between having adaptive triggers enabled or disabled.

It really is! I switched to using uv just 2 weeks ago. Previously I had been dealing with maintaining a ton of batch jobs that used: global packages (yes, sudo pip install), manually managed virtualenvs, and docker containers. uv beats all

I think that's because it's super common to use cat to quickly view a file. It has the nice property of using your terminal's scrollback rather than putting you into a pager application. For that use-case it is an alternative

Not to mention that the codec barely tells you anything useful on its own. There are many parameters that affect the quality and file size. And heck it's not even guaranteed that you will be able to watch a video just given its codec.

Why doesn't it matter? A VPS is still someone else's computer. They could be monitoring what you're doing on there because they run the hypervisor and they have physical access.
