That's not really the argument either. If you cost $100/hour, it only takes 6 minutes of saved time per month to pay back for it. Plus lost opportunity if a potential customer doesn't schedule the call with you. Reducing the

It wasn't clear to me how using user namespaces helped prevent the CVEs. Docker is already using them and it didn't protect them. Did I miss something in the design that's different than Docker?

Or more accurately, you now have to understand both the nginx.conf file format, and the right way to nudge the YAML so it produces what you want. Plus some intermediate wrapper script that sets things up on container start that does more fu

That's how I used to think as well. But you can also see Bash of being a standard on its own :) Obviously it all depends on the context.

What cb321 said. Sometimes programs take a single argument that contains the whole command. @Q allows to safely escape the list of arguments. This is a synthetic example: args=("my" "arg" "with space")

100% agreed, if you can choose your own language, there are certainly better options than Bash. It depends if you can do that or not. In some contexts, Python is also a pretty good option as it is available in a lot of places as well.

Once you are the top-committer in a project, you have the advantage. You know most of the code, even if it doesn't have tests. It's easy to figure out where reported bugs are, that you have introduced. Meanwhile, the rest of the t

They are complementary. If a sub-process gets OOMKilled and the container doesn't die, then it's most likely that the parent process didn't handle that scenario. In which case the health-check wouldn't cover that issue.

The first to implement a pure-ruby HTML renderer was Markaby[1]. This was without the reactive bits. I remember it being quite enjoyable to use. The barrier between ruby logic and HTML rendering is much lowered. The main downside is that re
