I have two questions for which I couldn't find the answer: 1 - Will these companies provide data from all users or only US citizens? 2 - Who has access to the data? Only people working on this program at US intelligence or a wider set

You really shouldn't mention medium.com in one line you have. Serious bloggers will stop reading right there. Overall, I give you thumbs up.

Somebody needs to take responsibility for this. Letting 520 people go is not normal, especially not in the tech industry. It's a disgrace.

I was done with Facebook when they introduced that the content from a page you 'Like' doesn't necessarily appear on your timeline. That was a deal breaker for me and many others. You 'Like' something/someone for one simple reason. You feel

Always good to see a new physical product on the market. All is well but I decided not to part with $35 for this product - simply because 9 photos are there forever and you can't change that. If you had a web interface where 10 of your phot

I like flat design but probably for the wrong reason. I had some luck in other business but decided to pursue a new career in software development a while back. Basically I knew nothing about professional design but I was an avid follower o

A good idea is just as important as its execution. I know the author is going for a massive exaggeration with the statement "Ideas are worth nothing" but it's simply not true.

I quite liked Kim. But lately he's been nothing else than a guy that's in media so much he becomes incredibly annoying (to hear news about him/her/them). Something similar to Lana del Rey in music business, Julian Assange in politics, Messi

Best HN post since I've joined. I was in a very similar situation not so long ago. I know a few others as well. Last month, I watched a lot of snooker as there was a World Championship in Sheffield. Ronnie O'Sullivan [who later won the cup]

I can't believe how Paypal isn't out of business. With their poor service, dire fees and all. It's become a very poor service. It's a massive market. Google has hit a jackpot there. I salute then.

I understand the philosophy behind your deed. Plain stupidity might be an exaggeration but it's kind of like paying $6 for a bag of apples to assure they're good enough for you even though the price is only $4. Bottom line, it was unnecessa
