sqlc looks very interesting and compelling. A similar library I like but haven't had the chance to really use is goyesql: https://github.com/knadh/goyesql It also allows just writing SQL in a file, reminds me a bi

I use Notepad++ like the author to keep a big a** text file but split it into separate files per quarter; they typically contain ideas which then make it to Notion if I'm really excited about them. But it's really hard to commit t

Interesting read.. Have you tried using waitress[0]? We got some better performance for an internal service than Gunicorn after trying different gunicorn configurations to improve the performance of our workloads. We now mostly run (read de

built a couple of tools that I use very often: - zefaker[0] - a CLI for generating (random) data and exporting to SQL, Excel, CSV and JSON. Has helped in generation of test databases and test data for various scenarios. Much more convenient

If you need another repeatable way to create random data that you can export as SQL (or CSV/Excel files). You may find a tool we built and use at work useful: https://github.com/creditdatamw/zefaker Needs a little

I haven't used Signal before but this and the discussion on GitHub issues reminded me about a toy project that contains a WhatsApp chat to JSON/CSV "converter/exporter" that someone may find mildly interesting: htt

I've been using Raindrop.io for some months and can say I am a happy user. I will agree with others that it's mostly about the UX than anything else. I really appreciate the effort the developers of raindrop.io put into their prod

Nice. Reminds me of a time I was learning Rust. Did a small test to get Node.JS and Rust to "communicate" via Postgres[0] I am curious if this is an approach folks actually use in production, though. [0]: https://gist.g

I also rely on Markdown files and typically write very short content in each file, especially to help with my memory. I tried Google Keep, Evernote and at some point pain-stakingly migrated all the notes I had to Notion, but they are missin

Great news, although I know it's gonna be a while before it's a smooth transition to this version - definitely going to push for atleast one of our systems. Some features we needed in this one. e.g. helpful NPE messages
