Or is it? Jepsen reported a number of issues like "read skew, cyclic information flow, duplicate writes, and internal consistency violations. Weak defaults meant that transactions could lose writes and allow dirty reads, even downgradi

I fully agree that the strategy games are the best candidates for that. It's a pity that those games are losing popularity to casual games. Strategy games are more complex and require more time and effort.

German automakers oppose it because they will be hit the hardest. They focus on premium market. They don't have much competition in that market especially for conventional cars. And they don't care much what will happen later and

BMW, EV, and Seriously - that's something I can't agree. I see the opposit. They are lagging behind technologically. They put their stakes on conventional cars and didn't invest much in EV for a long time.

I'm not sure if it's the exact same thing Apple does. Apple is going to provide security updates for their phones for at least 5 years - https://www.securityweek.com/apple-says-iphones-will-get-sec... As for the p

Why donations? Supporter plan, without any additional benefits or fictional ones and with a tiny price will do. As for the FreeCAD Project Association, thanks for the tip, that's already included. I prefer to spread the butter all over

There are always workflows and workarounds. That's FreeCAD in a nutshell. But there are no easy and intuitive ways of doing that. Compare it to the Realthunder’s Link Branch version which has `export single geometry` and `export multip

2 cents: many core changes from Link Branch are coming to v1 of Freecad thanks to Ondsel (a commercialized version of Freecad) Also UX of Ondsel is much better and close to the Link Branch version by Real Thunder. It's important to me

My biased opinion as a DIY-er. Solidworks and other commercial CAD's are more polished and friction free. Freecad has too much legacy and quite verbose. The things may change a bit this/next year when a solution to the topological

I wonder if Ondsel would make a plan for supporters. You folks make a great job there, the UX is way easier and better, I'm very impressed. I'd be happy to support the project but current subscription levels are too high for a hob

Ondsel, built on top of FreeCad, aims to make free ad more user friendly and easy to collaborate on projects. Plus Freecad is close to propose a solid solution for topological naming issues. It will be this year, fingers crossed

They don't need to find a charging spot. The batteries are swappable. You can charge them at home and swap when needed. Also if it gets good user base, battery swapping stations will be everywhere.
