No shame in using Fable to help with the grammar and style of text. English is not my native language and while I can use it quite well, LLMs are much better in forming my thoughs into something simple, that sounds great. My writing workflo

Software engineer profession soon will be like a plumber. You don't build, you just fix things.

I bet on the loc growing exponentially. I wrote this at the end of 2024: https://codegen.substack.com/p/future-of-software-is-growing... Hope you like it.

We don't target software developers. Most of the time, they know their craft. We target those who don't have experience and diging into how serwer should be implemented, or best composition of a domain model is not what they would

Our outcome is also AI-generated (or AI-assisted) code. It is not possible to rewrite 100k loc in a week. Where our stills are is refactoring at scale with help of agents. Basically, software engineer knows better what prompt to put, and wh

Creator here, There is a new kind of task for software engineers these days. A client calls, asks for a "small refactor," and sends you 100k lines of AI-generated spaghetti. And this is great! This is something we can work with. A

Bytecode generated by compilers in many cases is far from optimal, but we don't care anymore.

My friend wasn't able to do RTG during the outage. They had to use ultrasound machine on his broken arm to see inside.

They are not, and that's the whole point of doing this research. If we can build good benchmark, models developers would have nice goal.

Hi there, I'm also working on LLMs in Texas Hold'em :) First of all, congrats on your work. Picking a form of presenting LLMs, that playes poker is a hard task, and I like your approach in presenting the Action Log. I can share so

This is great idea, until you have to build something.

I find it amazing, that the same ideas pop up in the same period of time. For example, I work on tests generation and I went the same path. I tried to find bugs by prompting "Find bugs in this code and implement tests to show it."

Seeing badly formatted code snippets without color highlighting in article called "21st Century C++" somehow resonates with my opinion on how hard to write and to ready C++ still is after working with other laguages.

Good point, but my team is small and has only top engineers with both soft and hard skills. Many times you can do much more with team of 3 than team of 10 ppl.

Recently I allowed everyone in my team to push to develop without PRs and even without doing feature branches. We review the code all together (max 2 ppl) just before the release and that's it. But great CI pipeline is must for this. I

In the past I have worked on Solidity -> Rust compiler, to enable Solidity on WASM VMs. My pain point was emulation of C3 inheritence in Rust, which I actually was able to implement with a few macros. In Rust -> .NET I'm interest

AI-generated code is the next abstraction over programming languages. GitHub Copilot started gently, but what I seen now is a race for becoming THE codegen AI. I think large companies already realized how big the AI CodeGen space is going t
