Not a second language. But spent the last decade largely speaking a second (or third) language and/or with ESL speakers. Perhaps that's starting to rub-off! Oh dear.. Not sleeping right for the past few days may also be a fact

This is weird. I've had this comment here before, not a lot, but once every few months. What is it in particular? Punctuation? Adjective clauses? No, I am not a computer.

Certainly tends to be popular with kids in the UK as a quick and easy dish: Put them under the grill (broiler), heat some backed beans, butter some bread, fruit for desert, and there's a reasonably nutritious fast food lunch once a we

Typing a domain or having a preference for a browser, perhaps more IT in background, is a huge generational gap. EDIT as I seem to be a computer! Let me explain a recent conversation, one of several, that illustrated this. /EDIT Cha

I've noticed the use of WeChat has changed quite a bit for over the past 4 years: Use of the 'Moments' function (a photo-orientated miniblog) that was quite popular when WeChat was newer has declined significantly and is not

Clearly it broke. Was fixed, sort of but not actually, and failed. Observe, test, measure, analyse, mitigate (did I create a new acronym to add to the vast QC vocabulary, OTMAM?). Scheduled replacement! Mitigate problems before they caus

This is a failing of engineering reliable systems: A part is tested to a point of failure, based on the quality parameters you specify. I'd put safety pretty high on a 115,000V line. Choose your sigma level based on your goals. I&#x

It's not easy to get up at an embankment. Mud and a 10-20mph current of water (water's heavy) pushing you away. Unless a root of a tree to grab on to, or a really solid rock, very hard and getting into the situation best avoided

Divisible by both 2 and 3, which decimal, well 10s, isn't. Archaic in today's deals of prices ending in 99 pence or cents, it made a lot of sense to have things easily divisible by both 2s and 3s, and fractions of such.

Crazy losses, and I've not heard of one of these companies. Some people have. Cool. You can employ 1000 people at 50k Euro a year plus infra without hitting these losses, and one on one thousand is surely to come up with something.
