Not all of NYC is so densely populated that you can hail a cab faster than an Uber.

How certain do you need to be that someone's life is in danger? This is why we have a judicial process to get warrants.

As mentioned elsewhere in this thread, the section you're quoting is about breaking DRM, which PopcornTime does not do.

This is an Op-Ed article, so it's not a replacement for news content. That said it does seem to be a few notches below the grey lady's usual standard.

The first Samsung Gear watch was only announced a year ago (Sep. 2013), and you can get it for <$150 new. Pretty sure it will be well under $50 for that model in 4 years.

It's a parody of a word processor that lets you "handwrite" on scraps of paper and such, with lots of semi-useless buttons like a spell check that tells you to look words up in a dictionary.

Dart does have a new VM (that's what Dartium uses after all), and it would probably make for a better compile target than JS since it has strong typing, better number types, etc.

Worth noting there's no compile step or debugging with source maps when you're developing using Dartium, which runs the Dart code directly; you'd only need to compile for deployment.

If you click on a property name, it actually gives a pretty decent explanation. I agree a link to additional overall context could be useful, but I think you're overstating the gap.

Thickness generally has a very strong correlation with weight. Weight is probably the single most important factor in a laptop for me. I didn't realize how much of a difference it made until I switched to an Air.

This New Yorker article[0] makes a pretty compelling case that the Golden Gate nets would be very effective; it's somewhat of an unusual case in that it's such an iconic suicide destination. [0] http://www.newyorker.com&
