That's conflict-resolution logic, and up to the peers to decide a priori (they will likely already have this, since it is not an uncommon scenario.) The value here (in addition to decentralized validation and consensus) is also in tran

Typically a conflict-resolution mechanism will be built into the consensus mechanism, with the rules set by the peers. But there will always be transparency (even the bad CDRs will be logged) and accountability (you know who said what, so t

This is not how the real world works. When you have large industries with thousands of peering organizations all over the world, you can't just "trust" -- there is, in fact, no metric for trust and no ability to measure trust

Diamond prices are artificially inflated by a single organization. Bitcoin is priced by the market. (Yes, there is lots of manipulation in the latter, but it's still not comparable to diamonds.)

You do auth with the AUTH command -- you wouldn't want to do AUTH without SSL/TLS. You don't need anything more sophisticated than that for the use-case where you're just making Redis on one cloud available to trusted cl

Reshipping centers are used heavily by people outside the US to get access to goods sold online. Tons of stores (especially on Amazon) don't ship outside a few select countries, so customers pay a small fee to these reshipping centers

Technically, no, but in practice, yes. For example, default static linking does not include the base C libraries that are pretty much available in every OS. You have to explicitly tell the linker to also link those in.

Unless you decide to spend a ton of effort learning how to design, you're much better off hiring someone. (There's also the opportunity cost of not spending your time on your core competencies.)

Okay, got it. I wouldn't call that PoS, but I see what you mean. I think of the crux of PoS as the incentive system that keeps bad actors out -- if you act maliciously, you lose your stake.
