+1 Also, and speaking from experience after having a professional bike fit, a "saddle issue" often is not directly related to the saddle itself. You might be placed too forward and slipping just ever so slightly on the saddle, so

It's absolutely not. The math behind rendering is pretty straightforward and has been available since forever (Graphics Gems). On top of that, three.js was sort of a port of an existing library called away3D, which was a port of paperv

Fun fact - our local community recently started playing billiards tournaments using a swiss system and it's really cool, but it's a tradeoff between fairness and the amount of players you can invite to a tournament. The swiss vari

I thought about it a lot and I'm afraid there's no single ultimate solution. It really depends on the sport and the variant you play. Let me give you couple of examples: (a) foosball - you have a bunch of players who play both si

Let me give you two anecdotes. (1) Some time ago I'm at a coding interview and I'm tasked with an algorithm to calculate the biggest rectangle you can make of a set of segments. Or something similar. I'm presented with a comp

Another day, another world record in AI. Reminds me of Sergey Bubka ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergey_Bubka ). Bubka broke the world record for men's pole vault 35 times during his career.

I don't follow the hype to close, but I guess the early models were trained on data that was classified by underpaid 3rd world workers en masse. Today you could use your yesterdays model to classify the data for you and build from that

Actually, one of the things I miss the most from AS is... E4X. I work with ton of json, including hundreds of kubernetes definitions per project, and I really miss the ability to parse the data so swiftly and effective with native syntax.

As someone who recently had to go over a large chunk of code written by myself some 10-15 years ago I strongly agree with this sentiment. Despite being a mature programmer already at that time, I found a lot of magic and gotchas that were s

It doesn't work like this. Take aircrafts or (to some degree) a racing car. You need a screw. Sure you can get one at your local hardware shop for a penny, but for regulated market you need one with certification and that will cost you
