OK. What I meant was the concept of VPC in EC2, should have addressed it correctly :). Basically following: 1. No public IP on each machine by default 2. Security settings managed through web UI and apply to linodes from UI.

For me, beauty of redis lies in being 'data structure server '. All kinds of lists/sets/hashes redis has are very powerful. But in last few releases redis has not introduced many new types. I would like to see more focus

For micropayments it hurts a lot. Selling something as low as $2, 30 cents fees is a lot..

One more problem is cloud. We host on cloud. cloud service providers might be using old hardware. Newest hardware or specific OS might be winner but no options on cloud. How do you tackle that ?

My app is CPU intensive, need to accept and process large data, index it..searching index quickly.. It was quick to implement it in python. but I got better performance in java.

Giving public IP to every node is what I dislike about linode, also No security group like EC2. No VPC.. one has to manually configure firewall on each node. 'Linode managed' costs $100 per linode, insanely high. Despite of all t

I would like to see the virtual private cloud concept in linode. Like the VPC in EC2, linode must do that. Putting every machine bare open with public ip address is scary, VPC is needed in Linode.

I would rather like to see better CPU performance first then auto-scale. Awful CPU performance is what keeping me away from EC2, trying linode nowadays..
