On the other hand, there’s nothing more frustrating when I submit a hand-written issue to an open source project, happy to implement it if they approve, and then their bot closes it with some AI slop comment that indicates it has no idea wh

Typical comment that probably comes from a healthy, childless, young person with no disabilities that can’t understand why people not in that situation might have different requirements from transportation.

Safari has some differences in default scroll behavior. I’ve seen similar bugs pop up many times.

From what I’ve seen all three are close enough that I would be hard pressed to pick one. It seems to matter much more how I prompt than which of the three I am using.

Farm employment itself has decreased 4x compared to 1950 (the % figure overstates it since the total workforce is larger). However if we consider the broader "food" industry employment has increased substantially. Thus we may see

Why would people author published works if they won’t get compensated? Countries with weak copyright enforcement don’t tend to have better output than the US (I think most would argue it’s worse). I do agree the term is too long, I would su

They are not excluded from CPI. You may be thinking of “core” inflation but the baseline CPI includes those.

Yes restaurant prices have increased more but other things have increased less. For example entertainment, clothing, electronics, even automobiles.

He actually says the areas in which AI has had the novel successes are those which can be evaluated (like coding or Go). Not that it can’t happen at all.

If you read it he says that CC has additional aspects beyond ordinary GAI, namely the ability to verify. That aspect is necessary for GAI to be good and novel. Although personally I think code doesn’t actually need to be very novel so it’s

Generally the idea is that if you don’t like what the government does you deal with it through politics (elections and so on). You only have standing if the government is actually directly harming you.

The comments in this thread are amusing because everyone is confident they know the cause of this (complex and multifaceted) issue and of course each of their explanations is different.

I’ve used it at Meta. It’s very bad, if they released it in its current state it would be laughed at. I imagine they need to improve quality massively before it’s viable to release.

If anything AI is going to get rid of the lower tier tech jobs. There will be much fewer but they will pay 7 figs. Basically you replace 10 devs with one super dev and a fleet of agents. At least that’s what the CEOs seem to expect.
