I don't have any data to back this up, but I'm a .Net/C# dev and see tons of job postings all the time. I have yet to have trouble finding a job, even when I was first starting out.

Developers can’t use broken hardware. The packaging doesn’t have to be fancy, but it does have to be secure enough that the phone arrives undamaged. Otherwise no development can be done. The OP is not unreasonable for wanting a physically u

It's rough out here! I'm still very grateful to be in this career and things are (slowly) getting better. If I ever end up in a senior position I will insist on better onboarding practices for junior devs if poor ones exist.

Out of curiosity do you foresee Slite hiring more junior devs in the near future? Sounds like an awesome place to work that's more aligned with my goals than my current place of employment.

Hey there, just wanted to say as a remote junior dev who has been at it for about 10 months now, that I appreciate the article a lot. These 10 months have been the most difficult of my life, professionally speaking. I was assigned a mentor,

Rocket League. It’s a physics simulator with a skill ceiling so high I doubt anyone will ever reach the top.

I'd like to echo what the other commenters said when they say consider the education of your kids. I'm from the US, but student taught in Germany while I studied abroad. The quality of the education and the sheer amount of resourc

Not crazy in my opinion. So many of the things webOS did back in like 2008 the iPhone just recently implemented. It was way ahead of its time. I really wish it was still around.

Personally I love being gifted experiences. One year I got a tandem skydiving experience for my significant other and I, it was awesome. Another year I purchased my SO and I an intro to pottering throwing class that was fun too. Perhaps you

I wish Arena had a mode for that. It sounds like a lot more fun than the modes they currently have. I’m still a beginner in MtG, would you say the way you described is easier than modern Magic?

What software do you all use for screen sharing? That seems like something that could be done in a fairly trivial manner in teams. Teammate calls you (1 click), shares screen (1 click), and then you tell him where the couple of buttons he n

Just my experience, but as a millennial growing up in the US, when I was in say 3rd grade or so we had a short unit on cursive and then I never used it again. When it came time to start signing things as an adult I had forgotten almost all

As another data point to anyone else reading this, I live in Portland smack dab in the most densely populated part of south-east, and go to downtown several times a week. Homelessness is a problem, but I've never experienced the post-a

In May of 2019 they acquired Psynoix too. There's been some good addition to Rocket League, but the micro-transactions have definitely increased/become more expensive.

These quotes are good food for thought. I've never read anything from Chomsky. Any books in particular that you would recommend?

I see ADHD mentioned a lot on HN, so I hesitate to suggest that you be screened for it. One thing I will say is I'm the same age and have quit a comparable amount of jobs in my life. When I finally did get screened the doc said this wa
