This is being down-voted, but there is merit to this. Tests should be audited for continued need.

I would gladly give up software development for a medical or law degree. I would gladly study for a bar exam or do a medical internship instead of grinding Leetcode and throwing salt over my shoulder or some other good luck inducing act, in

At a previous employer, we had a 'fire call' to handle these situations. These were emergency situations and required a form submition and authorization from a manager. You were given temporary credentials with access to do what

I don't understand why you're lumping JavaScript in with Java. These are very different languages and are likely to produce very different mindsets.

I can't stand the capitalization thing. I see this in C# methods and boolean values in Python every day and it sucks. I think Java got it right on that one.

I quit in April of 2021 and 8 out of 10 employers want to know what I've been doing since then. I think it's just one of those automatic questions since any reasonable response seems to satisfy them.

Just what we need, 300 million people locked out of their coffee machines. Thank God that didn't happen during Covid lock-downs! :)

Most models outside the US would not work for the entire US, perhaps a few cities. Also, it doesn't seem possible to have more than 10 supermarkets within 10 minutes of your walking distance. They would have to be next door to each oth

I agree. My theory is that this is all 'busy' work. For some reason or another, there's just nothing else for the employees to do.

Why? I've only used my horn for telling people to get off their phone and go because the light turned green. I can't remember it ever being a necessity.

It's too dark to search for it, so you'd have to already know where the latch is at. I didn't know about keyless trunks until my ex-wife needed a jump and the battery was in the trunk, which could only be opened electronicall

First time I was late paying AMEX they raised my interest rate north of 25%. They could legally do so, but they were the only card I had that did it so quickly; just one day late. Discover was my favorite. They had a forgiveness policy and

Mine only chirps when the battery dies. Of course, it's always at 3am and I don't have any 9v batteries. Worse now is none of the stores are open 24 hours so you have to suffer 'til 6am or pay $5 at a gas station for a batter

This happened to me at a recent Google interview. It was the last interview of 5 and the guy gave me a gnarly graph problem. I was trying to wrap my head around it, but he kept interrupting me and giving me unwanted help. I ended up getting

I have, and it was the most frustrating language I've ever tried. You sit there staring at the code wondering what's wrong with the variable you created until you Google it and find out it's a certain type that you never hear

No, half the problems with JavaScript are because people refuse to learn it. Just don't write 1+{}. Every time people start bashing JavaScript, it's with these odd-ball examples that they make up.
