I'm sorry, but you're using all these terms that I don't really understand and I don't have time nor interest in studying. This doesn't mean that I can't think about things. I may not get far, but that's n

"Ego depletion" is such a misleading/tricky name. It's merely attention depletion. And I do believe that's the underlying mechanism that both will and cognition use. And yes, if one looks at its own experience then

Well, this de Sitter space would "--literally-- grow to infinite volume" only in theory. If you would actually try to build such a thing I'd say the probability that at some point you would remain without building blocks is v

The point is that we're all playing the user role much more then the company owner/employee role. Products and services are developed by companies and if they don't design things thinking about how they as users of those prod

My impression about the universe: It's finite. "Infinity" is an abstraction, it cannot exist in reality. It's 100% deterministic, based on some fundamental rules. Those rules are imposed and enforced by computation and t

If we really take security seriously then we should be talking about LAN of things. Anything that requires a connection to the internet and that takes firmware upgrades from the manufacturer and hides data from the user/owner is a secu

If you don't have anything to hide, or you don't want to trick people by paying less then the value they produce, then this kind of system is much better because it promotes honesty and a kind of mutual respect. It may seem strang

In my view, much grief can be avoided if people that have a mind able to build things that can have an impact for better or for worse, will use that mind to also control how those things will be used. When engineering and philosophy are div

I suppose there will be a class of people, probably techies/hackers, that will build/use technologies that will protect their privacy. I wish there were communities similar to the one around linux do develop these technologies. Ho

Generation 50 but none of the cars has learned to pass more than 5-6 corners. Also, changining the track from one interation to another I don't think it helps. The training should be done on the same track until at least one of the car
