Kind of cute, a game-oriented Python koan/exercise site. There's a lot of broken english though.

Technically, that's a raycasting engine (a la Doom and Wolf3D). The first implementation that I know of that was made into a game was Daedalus for the TI-85, back in 1997 http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/11/1147.html

To quote The Simpsons: "You don't win friends with salad". That is to say, Republicans don't win voters with well-thought-out tax restructuring plans, they win them with "God, Guns and Gays" policies that appeal the the lowest common denom

My friends and I used to LAN play the crap out of this game in the MacOS8/9 days. It was a lot of fun, but networking bugs would cause all connected computers to hard crash, needing restarts.

Having been interested in VR since the early 90s, I have to say I am more than ready for any kind of good, hi-res, low-latency VR system - this definitely looks promising, given all the high praise from Gaben and Carmack.

Is anyone else totally uninterested in Windows RT? I'm much more interested to see how Win 8 and existing Windows applications run. That is, to have a tablet-cum-laptop with a full touch UI plus keyboard and trackpad.

Non-obvious/invisible click and mouseover regions are probably my single biggest beef with Win 8. Just terrible.

I played SL since 2006 and until 2009 or so, and I still keep up with it from time to time. I think one problem it has is that it tries to do a lot of things, and does none of them well. Building was fun for a while, but you hit a limit wi

To visualise this, it’s simplest to think of the state of your repository as a point in a high- dimensional ‘code-space’, in which branches are represented as n-dimensional membranes, mapping the spatial loci of succ

Re. your first paragraph, here is a counter-example: go to another town where they don't know you, purely to obtain your coke; problem solved. Besides, haven't you heard the saying: "Always know your dealer"?

I like how he supposedly did it to prevent his car from being vandalized. I don't think vandals could do much worse to it than what he did. A cool project, but there's no reason to dress it up in a BS story.
