Almost anything by Alan Watts. Tao: The Watercourse Way is good. He also has a bunch of lectures recorded in audio and available on bittorrent.

On the contrary, for me, having the occasional } or ] in there lets me more easily visually match up blocks of code when using a non-smart text editor. They are like little beacons of light in the darkness :-)

I would disagree with the bit about Clojure being about web-apps though; it's really good for data processing and analysis, as well as enterprise apps (soon, I bet). Web-apps are just another fun way to hack with it. I

I don't think the "clojure for cocoa" description is apt. 1. All the examples I saw on the git tutorials we're basically just imperative programming with parentheses instead of ObjC's brackets (actually some of the examples remind me more o

Agreed, these are great. Sure, they're not wholly canonical, though they seem correctly derived from what I remember from the Star Trek Technical Manual. I spent a good 20 minutes geeking out on these images.

Clojure (or any functional language) doesn't have a tiny fraction of the libraries/frameworks/documentation that PHP does. Well, you get all those Java libraries out there for free ('free' as in automatically, not necessa

"There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it." 'while' is it, 'until' is not. The author even notes that 'until cond' is functionally identical to 'while not condition'. A fun exercise for the author, if a bit sill

What, people don't like the sound of the swarms of killer 15 foot bees? Seriously, they should filter that mess out - it's headache-inducing. Maybe put the with-vuvuzela sounds on the SAP audio channel.
