Failure of government results from hijacking by corporate interests. As you say, they'll always seek to pay the least, hence years of the tax code being adjusted for profit.

I've recently gotten back into a programming job after 8 mo out of work and ten years before that doing desktop support instead of my original focus on coding. Getting back into the flow is certainly doable. Be honest about the basic s

That's unbelieveable... I can't imagine that there's any real way to control swarms that large, and the idea of burning the entire country clean to starve them out seems a bit counterproductive.

Nope. I don't think patient details are required for determining an equitable markup per drug. It's the companies that are relying on the relative invisibility of their pricing decisions that have all the power in the current dyn

Wow, you believe companies actually pay taxes? Ok, a bit hyperbolic, but really. A half a century of deregulation and tax breaks isn't making this _worse_ for companies.

You're way overthinking this. What needs to happen is, again and again with health care issues, transparency. Manufacturers should be required to declare and with audits prove how much they're spending to manufacture everything. T

I think in this case the use of 'de-orbit' only means removing it from its in-service geosynchronous orbit, to the graveyard orbit. De-orbit down around usual LEO altitudes is more drag-effect, you will return to Earth soon enough

At these orbital heights, there is no atmosphere for drag effects, so adding energy to move to a slightly higher orbit, outside of true geosync altitude, is a permanent change. Low Earth orbits do have atmospheric drag issues, and those ite
