If you're more into wargaming, VASSAL has been around forever, each game module gives you virtual versions of maps, counters, charts, dice, etc so you can play whatever games you own (or many have rules and everything you need to play

I think the factor you missed in relating anything prior to the Trump era is the fact that Trump is an obvious, completely symptomatic Narcissistic Personality Disorder. When he is back out of politics, watch for the other appointees to not

I think the question that needs to be answered before that is "how do you get people to want to be better informed". If that was already true, there never would have been an Enquirer or Weekly World News.

The reality of that makes my skin crawl. Maybe the only way to get useful code that starts off secure is to start it open source? That way, even if it takes "forever", there's no profit motive or need to rush into adoption..

Zoom has also pulled a lot of shady crap under the hood, so regardless of their 'top dog' status, they are getting called to the carpet to explain and remedy their bs. Articles about factory worker conditions these days are about

Boomers, yes. Fast attack boats are never really underway that long, but they deploy away from home port for 4 - 6 months at a time. I did five deployments in a 54 month sea tour. (My time away from home port was 68+%)

For us non-HPC developers, does it make any sense to dig deeper? I get the feeling there could be some interesting thread/core usage maximisation ideas, or some such, but I've not delved before so I have no frame of reference.
