You can't have the same actor both flood the markets to temporarily drive down the price and control a major stake of Ether - it's an either or proposition. In the first case, assuming the move was purely malicious rather than sel

I didn't really see any weighing of the proposition here, just motivated reasoning. Such a one-sided view is especially scary because, at least to me, the cons for this are pretty apparent and serious. What's one big negative of f

At the very least it seems like UBI would further centralize power within government by simply funneling even more money into it. Depends on your POV whether or not you think this is a good thing.

I would say that's a little generous. I've also worked at companies of similar size to this where it isn't uncommon for managers to just ask programmers to randomly generate a number so they can lie and claim they've imp

You kind of get a chicken and egg problem here. If you don't sufficiently understand something, how can you hope to identify situations in which you could apply it? I think the more pragmatic approach is to sample from a lot of differe

It actually sounds like old research was either reproduced or simply read at a forum for stopping internet abuse (#ReclaimTheInternet) by this researcher ( http://www.demos.co.uk/people/alex-krasodomski-jones-2/ ).

It really depends on what you think qualifies as understanding a topic. You can definitely write a basic compiler without much understanding. I've seen a lot of programmers do this, and I think it's great. The unfortunate reality

Kinda misleading title. Doesn't really have anything to do with database design. It has to do with sharing Entity-Relationship diagrams. Maybe "Design better relational models".

This isn't an issue of making something easier for everyone. Sadly it's not that cut and dried. This is a request to destroy or completely disfigure, to the point of uselessness, a UI element that some people and teams legitimatel

You can also write sets in a more compact notation in python as: {1,2,3} & {1,2} Which gives {1,2} as a result.

Even though this may just be an April Fool's joke. My 2 cents. This is a "give a man a fish" solution that doesn't address the root cause of the issue (and that parable is all about fixing root causes). This likely has m
