Can I just rant for a second about how much I hate the whole `<starting-letter-of-a-word-><count-of-inner-letters><ending-letter-of-a-word>` trend that folks seem to love? This intentional sort of obfuscation makes it hard

Did switching from "everything is synchronous" to "everything is asynchronous" break a lot of other UniFFI users? I keep hearing people recommend UniFFI as the solution for Easy-FFI ™, but that sounds like a drastic cha

Yes this is partly an ad for sourcegraph's product Cody, but it is another amazing Blog/Rant/Confession by the great Steve Yegge. I have no affiliation with sourcegraph, I'm just a huge Yegge fan. I hope you enjoy.

I can attest to this. I really think it depends on your background and what your project is. Rust has a lot of baggage from it's use in systems programming that many folks coming from C++ already know, and a lot of strange functional

This is pretty neat to see Apple involved in a standard. They don't like to back everything that comes along. What is very interesting though, is that Meta isn't involved. Maybe because they're backing another horse, namely

I think that once the WASM-GC is standardized and shipped (and perhaps once WASM can directly talk to the DOM), JavaScript will lose some dominance. I think a lot of folks will stick with it, personally, but I'm excited that more langu
