This is pretty good stuff. My wife is an Art Professor who's trying to learn basic web-design so she is eligible to teach it to Art students. The schools mostly use Dream Weaver and Muse (both from Adobe) and to be honest I think its a

His latest, New York: 2140 is pretty dang great. Its a stand-alone novel with well developed characters set in a super-Venice New York. Neal Stephenson also has excellent worlds. The Diamond Age is my favorite.

Dystopias tend toward fantasies of absolute control, in which the system sees all, knows all, and controls all. Yeah, I greatly admire works that can show a diverse ecology instead of trying to say that an entire world is controlled by a

I know correlation != causation, but we're using imprecise language where these mathematical distinctions are mired and muddled. People don't think like statisticians, they think like humans who label things and create biases base

I feel like the implications of what she was saying are a little vague, so I'm not sure what she meant here. I think the main point is that this is still early days for defining a mathematical measure for 'fairness'. Wouldn&#

Downvote because while it is true that the math is important, a framework like PyTorch allows for more idiomatic python code. Tensorflow is in its own world being mostly written in C++ and trying to cater to multiple client languages. That

So your comment was very interesting in that it kicked off a 30 minute wiki investigation into that book and other sci-fi novels. I'm currently finishing 2312 from Kim Stanley Robinson and he uses the term Accelerando , so that piqued
