It would be interesting to compare the effect of vehicle type as well: I'd imagine being hit by an SUV is much more likely to kill than by a smaller car with a lower, softer front.

I really don't understand Apple's obsessions with thinness. Do they really think that a few millimetres off the depth of a laptop is worth sacrificing reliability like this? I thought the same during the last iPhone keynote where

But surely if they're leaving for a better job elsewhere, it's because the company that trained them hasn't increased their salary in line with their new abilities?

Sure, although presumably the World Cup problems are made somewhat harder by having to do 4 of them in a row, with 4 minutes to do each one with only a quick look beforehand.

They can also have 'seas' of hydrogen pulled off a partner star if they're in a binary system. The resulting occasional thermonuclear explosions might make it a bit of an unpleasant place to live though.

I thought that too: this just affects companies running JVMs, not companies that ship Java software, right?

I downgraded from a 6 to an SE and have been really happy. I'd like a slightly better screen (better black levels and contrast), but apart from that it's great.

That's ridiculous: I was hoping the SE2 rumours would turn to to be true. No idea what I'll upgrade to when my current SE stops running up-to-date iOS then.

I partially justified resubscribing to Prime through Amazon Photos. Then I actually used it. As it doesn't include video, it's not much use for backing up my Photos library. What really killed it for me though is that the Amazon D

I believe recent iOS SDKs have implemented a system-controlled UI to ask for reviews to prevent apps doing this. I assume it's enforced via app-store review.

I see this mentality a lot and I just don't understand it. It's an especially odd thing to say when you're all working on the same team, doing similar work: it kind of translates as "I'm so inefficient it takes me t

Does it really require creativity to replace the CPU in the Mac Mini? Presumably Apple has looked at a lot of these issues and decided the return on investment isn't worth it.
