Sorry, I didn’t mean to be snarky. It’s just that it’s a weird argument for the head of a car company to make, as the alternative to EVs currently is no cars at all. That seems pretty bad from a profit perspective.

There’s also a significant amount of emissions from the production and transportation of petrol/diesel for use in vehicles you have to factor in.

Because it's pretty easy to use google and look up the fact that the carbon intensity of EVs is already significantly lower than ICE vehicles, and the gap is only going to widen as more renewables (and possibly nuclear) come online.

Looks like a good product. One very minor point: on Safari 14.1.1, the "Say goodbye to publishing code" line is too close to the "coding tutorials" line above it, so the descender of the g overlaps the b beneath it.

In the short term by moving responsibilities around - in my inexperience I didn't realise that it was okay not to be able to cope with that level of work. In the longer term (eventually) cancelling the project and reorganising.

For me it was the constant feeling that tasks and responsibilities and difficult decisions are piling up faster than I could process them. Not just "I have too much work to do", but "I have too much work to do and every day i

Most of the Nit level issues should probably be caught by the linter/static checker, which reduces a lot of the minor comments. Not that that seems to stop some people, of course.

If you get enough men to walk slowly towards a trench protected by machine guns, eventually some of them will get close enough to use a shotgun. (Actually, trench warfare by later WWI had developed significantly since the early war, it wasn

To be fair, though, the prime minister's salary is generally a drop from whatever job they would be doing instead (making no comment on whether that's right or wrong). Same with judges, I believe.

Reducing congestion and the kind of dangerous behaviour that produces presumably has some impact? You'd think that spread out cars all travelling at similar speeds are in general safer than more tightly packed cars with impatient drive

I don't know if they did start showing worse results. I think the problem is that a death from a collision with a stopped car is very visible, while the drop in average accidents over a longer period isn't.

I was trying to figure that out too. Part of the problem is that the figures are apparently percentage of value, which might give misleading figures if a country produces a lot of its high-value requirements: producing all your own asparagu
