There's no such thing as Linux programming without C. You will have to deal with it eventually regardless of how many wrappers Python etc. puts on top of it.

These days it's more about the code than the books. I don't think there are any books up-to-date. It's all in the source code (and man pages). https://git.kernel.org/

I understand WAI for articles and "document" web pages, but does anyone who uses these technologies use them on web apps? Is this even remotely the audience for most of these SaaS SPAs?

I think of Starbucks as a cultural institution with coffee as its delivery mechanism. The Starbucks brand itself caused a lot of people to drink coffee (in whatever watered-down form) who weren't otherwise coffee drinkers before. It&#x

Starbucks had a great run from the early 2000s. I wouldn't have guessed that this is the way they go, but already I've noticed it's becoming less and less popular. Add in the long term effects of coronavirus on people's

I tried Clojure but ended up hating it for reasons all stemming from its hosted implementation. Whenever I didn't know how to do something, I (and most other Clojure users) would go use some JDK class (or worse, an external Java librar

I think there would need to be a violent revolution to get rid of public stock markets. This would not happen because of a measly recession or depression, even if tens of millions die from the virus at the same time. I mean what is America

I didn't know this. If this is true then it's more powerful than Electron, which requires you exchange IPC messages from a separate process. The fact that you have to use the app store is a major disadvantage though.

I've only ever used it on expensive hardware so maybe I'm biased. I have to kill gnome-shell maybe once a week. That's a huge improvement over KDE. Xfce to me is just too ugly to use. And it messes up my system with all these

I've literally been using desktop Linux since I installed Ubuntu in 2006 in the spinning cubes era. It was never good. Windows (except Vista) always had a snappier interface. Xfce and GNOME2 are fast, I'll give it that, but don&#x

I wonder why this wouldn't work. If 90% of retail traders lose money, then why doesn't Etrade and Robinhood bet against its worst performing customers? Is there some law against this?

There is no way Wall Street is using trades by retail traders as a signal (except maybe to counter-trade them). Also btw Wall Street can easily differentiate trades made by big players versus hordes of retail traders, because the banks and
