That’s a bit unfair. I value privacy for some things but for other things I value more not losing my message history. Telegram is not as secure as other options by default, but for me it strikes a good balance between convenience/usabi

Yeah, I guess it’s just a different use case, but it was a behavior I didn’t expect (maybe I didn’t read the “fine print”) and it turned me off using it for long-term stuff. It’s a pity because I liked the interface and features.

I didn’t login on Wire for 3 months and “for my security” messages that were sent to me during that time were just... lost. I think my history was deleted too. This happened 2 or 3 years ago, but it made me just switch to something else (

Yeah, but those components were heavily used on Wikipedia and other Wikipedia websites, and some - especially Lua modules - are fundamental once the wiki grows to a certain size, since wikicode templates are quite limited and suffer from pe

I don’t know about Wikimedia being super cautious when adopting technologies... I host a MediaWiki instance and there’s been a lot of “not so cautious” tech decisions in the past. Jumping early on the HHVM train (which they eventually had t

Does it make the text harder to read? A nice side effect of justifying text is that it makes easier to determine when a paragraph ends (or a line break occurs), especially if there's no vertical spacing between paragraphs. But justific

PHP is one of the few languages that advertises itself by default in server headers, so I would take that data with a grain of salt.

To this day I still visit www.scaruffi.com to read his opinions about music - the layout hasn’t changed since the 90s or even the 80s for some pages.

As an Italian (not from Genoa though), pesto to me has always been just a pasta sauce, so I was very surprised to see it used on salads and pizzas abroad. But recently (in the last 2-3 years) I’ve seen quite a few Italian pizzerias (not the

Oh I know it can be tasty, I have eaten my fair share of greasy pizzas too. And I’m not saying neapolitan is the only possible pizza style, although in my opinion it’s the best one. Neapolitan is actually charred on the crust too, but it’s

The pizza on that page looks extremely greasy and - most importantly - burned! Hope it's not representative of New Haven pizza in general.
