Now I know github doesn't have a typical roadmap or backlog but I guess what I was looking for was how someone decides what feature they are "fed up" with not having.

I would love to hear why the github team waited so long to bring this feature into existence? I am sure there is a good reason (or maybe not) but it would be awesome if a member of the team would stop by and post the details.

That's great considering that a single Brita is about seven bucks.

The ability to recycle the filters should have been played up more! That's one of the biggest things I hate about my current Brita filter. Would be interesting to see the subscription cost for filters after the initial run.

A tailored suit is like the ferrari as opposed to getting a honda at what would be a Men's Warehouse. I like the idea and would love to look at the prices but it seems that the site is down. hackernews effect?

I know I am going to sound snarky for saying this but it seems like every company that doesn't actually have a game changing idea for a product ends up building some sort of planning tool. I am not saying that planning tools can't be innova

Funny that this degenerated into a discussion about healthcare. I can almost guarantee this will be a business school case study in the very near future. The thing is, companies are still putting out MMOs. Guild Wars 2 - Not out yet but l

Great idea but wish sign up wasn't busted (as everyone points out). I am interested to actually see what the curriculum looks like when you get in. I think you can cover a lot of design principals effectively without studying art history.

I don't see what is actually of value in this deal for someone to merit a 480K purchase: 1. Site code - Sure you are getting a head start since you don't need to build from scratch but the site doesn't do anything special that can't be dupl

Wasn't this same article up on HN the same day they got acquired? Lot's of interesting stuff in here in general, especially when they get to talking about when their app actually uploads a photo.

I really believe that great programmers aren't the ones that are the "smartest" but instead are the ones that will work as hard as it takes to achieve a goal. Thank you for posting this to HN and don't let anyone ever stop you from doing wh

I feel like at a certain point you are moving too fast. The author makes it seem like he is chasing after speed at his own peril. Isn't it better to take an extra week to polish a feature than to just "ship it" and then patch it later? At

I don't see how this can even compete with something like treehouse or code school. It's the same sort of online course that is being offered everywhere across the web and the price, in my opinion, is pretty outlandish.

Glad to hear it zds. Would be nice if you guys published a blog post in terms of where your road map was going. I know you all are probably buried under it in terms of work but even giving people a little bit of detail helps? Seems like yo

I think most people are in the same boat with you. When you are young you tend to push close up to the stage or jump into the thick of things, maybe because you like mosh pits. When you get older it's all about going to hear how well the b

I am still a bit shocked that this is an issue. As clearly pointed out, if you don't want to see homosexual content it is not forced upon you. The fact that homosexual content is in the game is great because it allows the user to direct th

Great question that was asked today was, "would you pay to see a dead artist perform in holographic form"? Think about all the artists you could bring back and have perform for people when using this technology.

I am glad that more developers are deciding to do this and putting more control into the hands of their consumers. The biggest benefit to the developer here is that they have paid for initial development up front AND they get to sell this g

How long were you at each job? I doubt that making a move to another startup was a major hit to your career even if you aren't the team lead anymore. Stick it out and ask for more leadership in your current position. Probably looks worse i
