I believe the telco’s did dc power for years so I don’t think this anything new. Any old hands out there want to school us on how it was done in the old days?

What about a possible future with a programming language designed from the beginning with AI in mind? It's fun to think about what that might even look like.

How is this dismissive? It's a fairly straightforward statement of fact. The only way I could possibly read it as dismissive is if you interpreted it like, "These approaches are typically limited to [old, boring ass,] RDF-based we

I've had the same gripe about having to keep up with a second language just for the build tool for a while. Try taking a look at JeKa https://jeka.dev/

People warning about a coming AI winter are almost as annoying as people doomsaying about AGI. It’s going to be somewhere in between. It can be disappointing and revolutionary at the same time. We had the dot-com crash and yet out of that g

Why bother with reorganizing the files? By this point you don’t need the filesystem abstraction. If it knows where to put it it knows where to get it. Why don’t you just ask for the file you’re looking for?

IPFS is an interesting idea but there are a number of limitations that keep it from taking off. It’s also a bit of a timesink because the initial idea is good and it sucks you in and only later do you see the problems.

People assume this is a completely absurd answer but there are times when it is correct to put glue on a pizza. The LLM picked this up because advertisers put glue on pizza to get that cheese pull shot. The next question is will LLMs ever d

What it means is that people who don't know anything about AI can get in on the AI hype. You only need a vague understanding of AI. You get to talk about the implementation and use of AI but none of the nuts and bolts and then then giv
